National Conference Blenheim 2008
Our National Conference is being held at the Marlborough Convention Centre in Blenheim from 16-19 May 2008.
This promises to be a very stimulating and enjoyable event.
Highlights include a celebrity debate with Kim Hill and Jim Hopkins on "Rural women do it better".
We also have a range of excellent speakers, workshops, a trip to Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre and more. Click to view full programme details.
The conference will be opened by our patron, Her Excellency Susan Satyanand and the South African Honorary Consul Gregory Fortuin is our opening night Keynote Speaker.
We will have a charity auction as a final fundraiser for our Leptospiros campaign and will be presenting a jumbo cheque to Dr Jackie Benschop of Massey University for leptospirosis research on the final day of conference.

National Drought Committee 2008
Rural Women New Zealand is part of the National Drought Committee set up in February 2008 to look at a co-ordinated approach to supporting farmers as drought conditions affect much of the country.

Leptospirosis
Funds raised by RWNZ members will be presented to the Massey University EpiCentre unit at our National Conference in Blenheim on 19 May 2008.
