Rural Women New Zealand members and friends walked the length of New Zealand yesterday, then turned round and walked halfway back again! Read More

Rural Women New Zealand has been supporting New Zealanders since 1926 when the organisation (then known as the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union) set up its bush nurse and housekeeping schemes to provide help to rural women who were sick or needed support in the home.
The Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union later changed its name to Women’s Division Federated Farmers, before becoming Rural Women New Zealand as we are known today.
The support for rural families we pioneered is still an important part of our work, which is now run through our wholly-owned company, Access Homehealth Limited
Access Homehealth Limited sits at the forefront of the home and community health sector, bringing quality home-based care to all parts of the country, employing over 3,500 carers.
While we've expanded, and our innovative model of care has developed since the early days we continue to celebrate the legacy of our founders and embrace their ideals of caring, service, strength, loyalty, perseverance and equality of access to services for rural communities.
